Hi, I'm developing an EAIF OA that delivers MMS If I send a message via EAIF to NowSMS MMSC it is delivered to my phone so that is working fine. However if I send an EAIF message with 1 recipient in the HTTP header X-NOKIA-MMSC-To: but with more than 1 recipient in the MMS body To: field, then the message delivered to the phone shows only has 1 recipient. If I look at the mms file stored by NowSMS I can see that the To field only contains the recipient listed in the HTTP header. I expect the message to be delivered only to the recipient in the HTTP header but the other addresses in the To field in the MMS data should not be removed. I this case I am developing an Originating Appliction that does routing. It often will send the message to only some recipients over MMS. It is very bad that NowSMS is modifying the recipient list in the message body. Have I misunderstood something ? Is this a bug? Is there a switch to disable this behaviour? Thanks in advance, Flanno

Hi Flanno, It took me awhile to figure out what you were talking about. Your explanation is clear, but I had to reacquaint myself with EAIF in order to understand. I think I can send you an update that can address this issue, but it is not ready to be posted generally yet as it needs more testing. If you send an e-mail to nowsms@now.co.uk with "Attention: Bryce" in the subject line, and then reference this thread in the text of the message, then I will reply back with an update for you to try. -bn

Just a follow-up. There is a similar issue with MM7 submissions, where current versions of NowSMS do not support the displayOnly="true" attribute for a recipient address. We are not ready to release this update in a general posting yet. But if anyone has an urgent issue relating to this, please feel free to send an e-mail as described above. -bn |
