I think to have setup 2 way settings as explained in posts here. Including debug test to check whether SMS-IN directory was getting created. It isn't through my LG 7100 GSM phone.

Could you tell whether I can at all receive SMS in PC through this model? Is there a way to know this.

Hi,

I haven't had any experience with LG phones as a modem, so I don't know whether or not their is an issue in using them to receive SMS messages as a GSM modem.

I usually recommend the following thread for troubleshooting:

http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/4520.html

The first and second bullets deal with SMS messages. Make sure you have things setup like the start of the thread mentions. Then try different "SMS Message Storage" options as described in the second bullet item.

I'm assuming that when the message is received, the message is visible in the inbox on the phone, but is never picked up by NowSMS? It is possible that the SMS client in the phone intercepts received messages and does not make them visible to the GSM modem interface ... that is what happens on Nokia Series 60 phones, and it is certainly possible that other phones might have similar design issues.
