I was able to send all the others kind of sms: text, binary, wappush, multimedia notification, but not mms.

What mobile operator are you connecting to?

And what settings have you configured?

This error can happen when the connection requires a username and password to connect to the GPRS APN, and it is not specified.

This error can also happen when the wrong GPRS APN is specified.

So the best thing to do is doublecheck the settings.

It is also a good idea to confirm that you can actually send an MMS message using the phone itself, just to confirm that something isn't wrong with your SIM card access.

Hi Bryce,

my IPCONFIG seeting are:

Configuration IP de Windows

Carte Ethernet Connexion au réseau local:

Suffixe DNS propre à la connexion :
Adresse IP. . . . . . . . . . . . : 172.24.1.59
Masque de sous-réseau . . . . . . : 255.255.0.0
Passerelle par défaut . . . . . . : 172.24.255.254

When I enabled my LAN card how has 172.24.x.x address and I tried to connect to my gprs modem (Nokia 6230), I get the RAS ERROR 734.

If I disable the lan card and I retry to Connect to GPRS Modem using NowSMS 5.51b and (NowSMS - Nokia 6230 USB)
dialup, the connection is Successfully Establised.

I fact, it was a routing Problem as the WAP gateway address 213.150.186.106 was routed using LAN connection instead of using the GPRS dialup Connection.

Configuration IP de Windows

Carte PPP NowSMS - Nokia 6230 USB :

Suffixe DNS propre à la connexion :
Adresse IP. . . . . . . . . . . . : 172.31.0.9
Masque de sous-réseau . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255

Passerelle par défaut . . . . . . : 172.24.255.254

and with the "route PRINT" command I obtain:

My Question is How to route the wap gateway address 213.150.186.106 (using the route ADD command)
with the GPRS Modem instead of LAN Connection ?

Hi,

The routing issue shouldn't be relevant.

At least, it doesn't have an impact on RAS Error 734.

You have to get past this error 734 before IP routing becomes an issue. (And, NowSMS uses explicit routing, so it should not matter what you see here.)

When the error 734 occurs, this means that the PPP connection has failed. There is no IP connection over GPRS, therefore there is no routing.

IP routing could only become an issue once the GPRS connection is active. And if routing were the problem, NowSMS would return the error "Unable to connect to WAP gateway", which means that the IP connection to GPRS was ok, but it did not receive any response from the WAP gateway.

I am not sure what to suggest next, as I do not understand what your current situation is.

Is it still the case that you cannot make the GPRS connection when the LAN card is enabled?

If yes, what happens when you use try to use dial-up networking to connect to the dial-up profile that NowSMS has created called "NowSMS - Nokia 6230 USB"?
