If you want to have people send an MMS message to a mobile phone number ... and then have those messages be automatically extracted and routed to a web page ... then you would need to either have an account with a mobile operator where the operator forwarded those messages to you via a protocol such as MM7 ... or you would need to receive them directly off of a GSM/GPRS modem that has the SIM card for the phone number that messages are being sent to. The operator accounts are hard to come by these days ... To do it yourself with a GSM/GPRS modem, note that you need to use an actual dedicated GSM/GPRS modem device (like the Siemens MC35 or Sierra Aircard 750), not a GSM/GPRS phone as a modem. This links talks about how to do this using our software: http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/mms_notifications_and_c ontent/Connecting_to_operator_MMSC.htm |
