Hi, there Does anyone know how to hide href string to user in service indication? Or I have to use other ways to send URI? From service indication specification section 7.3, "When an SI is presented, text specified in the indication elementMUST be made known to the end-user.". Does that mean that I have to show up URI to user? Thanks tons! Dennis | |||

Dennis, When you send an SI message, generally there is a text piece and a URI. The text piece and the URI are two distinct and separate elements. How this is presented to the user is UI dependent on the handset. Most handsets generally only display the text, but may have an "options" type of function that allows the URI to be viewed. But it really is up to the handset. For example, the Nokia Series 60 handsets display the host name of the URI and a partial URI in additon to the text. -bn |
