Hi there, Everytime i try to send an MMS to SIM card installed in my modem, i get "AT&T update please delete this message and re-power your phone" from AT&T. Don't know what's wrong. Anyone has any idea why this happens ? Thanks in advance. Jing Guo | |||

Hi Jing Guo, That is odd. I can only guess that AT&T believes the SIM card is in a phone and is trying to deliver a system update to that phone before it will allow the MMSC to deliver a message to the device. I would suggest putting the SIM card back into a phone, then sending an MMS to the phone. Once that is working, put the SIM back in the modem and try again. As an alternative to using a dedicated modem device, you might want to look at our new beta version that can use an Android phone as a modem for sending and receiving SMS/MMS. While we have long recommended dedicated modem devices instead of phones as modems, we are starting to think that for MMS, our Android solution is better. One of the reasons is that some operator systems are too clever for their own good and fail to realize that modem devices can send/receive MMS, because the standard modem software that comes with the modem does not support MMS. Using a phone avoids this confusion. Anyway, try moving the SIM as I described.
