Hi, I am using ATT Mercury USB device to send sms/mms. I able to send sms without any problem ( and browse internet) but mms are not going through. If I put my sim card into ATT phone, I am able to send MMS, so I assume problem is with my settings or modem? I search similar thread on this forum and your technical staff suggested debugging using AT commands. I tried following stuff: 1) AT+CGDCONT? +CGDCONT: 1,"IP","wap.cingular","0.0.0.0",0,0 +CGDCONT: 16,"IP","isp.cingular","0.0.0.0",0,0 2) ATD*99***1# I do see CONNECT but no Garbage after that. 3) clear all entries: AT+CGDCONT=1 OK AT+CGDCONT=16 OK AT+CGDCONT?1 +CGDCONT: OK After doing these steps, I am not able to send mms. In my nowMMS configuration, I am defining a new route for ATT and setting it as default route. I am using ATT settings provided by nowSMS. Also, I called ATT and verified these settings and seems like they are correct. If I run ethereal, I can see Connect packets going from my modem but no reply coming from ATT side. Please advice. Thanks Abhishek

That explains it. NowSMS is not trying to use the modem for sending MMS. In the "MMSC Routing" definition ... Make sure that "Use specific Network Connection (GPRS Modem)" is checked. Make sure that "Network Connection:" refers to a "Modem: xxx" entry that matches the modem that you are using. With some modems, if the modem is always connected to the cellular network, you can select a "Network:" driver instead of a "Modem:", but in that case, NowSMS doesn't do the dialing, it expects the network driver to establish its own connection automatically. From the looks of this log, the current configuration is pointing to a "Network Connection" of "Network: Wireless Network Connection 3", which is likely not the correct network. -- Des NowSMS Support

Thanks..I choose "modem: .." and it worked....trick was to be patient...NowMMS takes around 30 sec to send MMS ( may also depend on data size ) ..I kept changing settings if I didn't see mms going out in 5-10 sec..also, "test connection" button where you add mms routing info gives wrong info...

What wrong information is given by the "test connection" button? Do note that the "Test Connection" button can only verify that it can make a data connection with the APN, and connect to the proxy. It does not verify connectivity all the way to the MMSC. (Without actually sending a message, there is not a good way to verify MMSC connectivity ... maybe we should add an option to send a test message in a future version, as that would likely ease setup.) -bn
