Hi Des Reference to this thread http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/71237.html where the templates have been modified find one strange issue. Am testing on Android 4.0.4. If am attatching a picture via gallery then there is no issues at all. But if i click on "capture image" and attacth it to the MMS then this issue comes in: When i click on a "Click For Full Size Picture" i get a .bin file downloaded on the mobile handset and even pc/desktop. Initially it allowed me to view the full sized picture and sometimes it doesnt allow me to view the full sized pic. Mostly i get those .bin files. I checked the MMS content in the MMSCDATA. There are 3 enteries there: 1. image1359470848342-1-small.jpg this is correctly viewed when the MMS URL is called intially. 2. There is a image1359470848342 file with no extension which i guess would be the .bin file. 3. The smil.xml contains the following <smil><head><layout><root-layout width="320px" height="480px"/><region id="Image" left="0" top="0" width="320px" height="320px" fit="meet"/></layout></head><body><par dur="5000ms"><img src="image1359470848342" region="Image"/></par></body></smil> The issue is that the larger image doesnt have the .jpg extention and also the .jpg is not referenced in the smil.xml Capture Video and Capture Audio are working fine. Only issue here is that in the template it says "Click to download Video/Audio" doesnt actually download the video/audio but plays the video in full screen in the browser(even in full screen the video display size remains the same or smaller). Kindly let me know on this. Thanks for your time in advance. Regards Sam

Hi Sam, The content type issue is not unique to the new templates. The old templates had the same problem. We should be using the content-type from the original message, but we are basing it on file extension. We are working on an update to fix this. The other issue is really more of a semantics/language issue. The text does link to a direct download link for the content. What the device does when it processes that link is up to the device. We'd rather not have the text prompt there at all, but it is present because some browsers can't handle embedded audio or video and have to be linked in this fashion. I agree that "download" is not a good word choice. My suggestion is that we change the word "Download" to "Play". Thoughts? -- Des NowSMS Support

Hi Sam, I'm going to go ahead and post a temporary update for this. A ZIP file that contains only an updated MMSC.EXE. http://www.nowsms.com/download/mmscsam.zip This should be fine with recent versions, I tested with 2012.11.30 at http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsms20121130.zip We've updated MMSSMS\MSGTEMPLATE.HTM to use the word "Play" instead of "Download". I included that updated template file in the ZIP. -- Des NowSMS Support
