It's been a couple of months since our last release, but a beta release of v5.0 is due out shortly. As there are a number of new features in v5.0, we plan to make this release available for public beta testing prior to official release.

If you would like to be notified when the v5.0 release is made available, please enter your e-mail address on our home page and click "Sign Up".

The primary new features in v5.0 will be:

More support for MMS Value Added Service Provider (VASP) interfaces, with flexibility for defining accounts that can submit messages into the Now SMS/MMS Gateway using MM7, MM4, MM1 and EAIF.

Similarly, outbound routing for MMS messages can be directed via MM7, MM4, MM1 and EAIF to route messages through external MMSCs.

WAP push support has been greatly enhanced, allowing for various options to be set when submitting push messages (including the ability to delete a previously posted push).

Speaking of WAP push, there is also a new "multimedia WAP push" option that lets you send MMS-like content via a WAP push message (useful for those situations where the mobile operators have MMS access points that only allow for connections to their MMSC).

There's also support for CIMD2 in the SMS gateway ... and a variety of other new features.
