I am a newbie here - please forgive any obvious ignorance. I have an unlocked MOTO RAZR V6 MAXX, running on my T-Mobile USA service. I can receive MMS/picture messages but can't send them. T-Mobile has posted their MMS settings for "manual" configuration, but I don't know exactly where and how to key in these settings to my V6 maxx! Neither T-Mobile nor MOTO can tell me anything. I have pasted the settings below. Please, can someone tell me what I do with them? Will it even work? I will be forever grateful if someone can walk me thru the steps. Thank you very much. Wayne St. Paul, MN USA T-MobileWeb and picture messaging settings are provided below: T-MobileWeb settings: Primary IP address: 216.155.165.050 Secondary IP address: (Blank) Access Point Name (APN): wap.voicestream.com Data bearer: GPRS Profile name: GPRS Username: (Blank) Password: (Blank) Home page: http://wap.myvoicestream.com Picture messaging settings: Multi-Media Service Center (MMSC) address: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/MMS Validity period: 72 hours Hide ID option (if option exists): set to off, no, or disabled | |||

Hi Wayne, I was having the same problem with setting up my WAP. I finally broke down this morning and called T-Mobile for help sorting out the differing entries in our phones. The surprised me by sending me straight to level 3 tech support who sent configurations to my phone for picture messaging first, and then t-zones. I installed them and within 5 minutes, I was up and running. I did manage to get the manual configuration info before I hung up though, so if you don't have as much luck calling back, here is the missing info in the configuration: proxy 1: 216.155.165.050 port 1: 8080 domain 1: (leave empty) DNS 1: 216.155.175.040 DNS 2: 216.155.175.170 the rest is just as it says in the configuration instructions on t-mobile's website. Hope this helps! |
