I acquired a M1206B wavecom GSM/GPRS modem. It came with a GSM antenna that can be plugged in, and a serial port connector cable. It had no power supply, instead it only had a power supply cable. The cable has a 4-pin microfit connector on one side. This connector presumably goes into the modem. The other end just has 2 exposed wires (5 mm lenght, tinned copper wires). What kind of a power supply do I have to buy, and what do I have to do to connect the modem to the power supply? Thanks, RN | |||

Hi! Red is positive, black's negative. Wavecoms are sensitive to poorly stabilised power and tend to freeze if a PC power supplies are used. We use professional grade U.S.-made Lambda supplies. Also, don't forget to ground your modem and the power supply. |
