Hello,

We want to do SMS routing (to SMS user/application via SMPP) and in the same time we'd like to receive MMS over MM7 to the same user/application, on the same NowSMS gateway, using GSM modem.

We noticed that if we turn on SMS routing to SMS user and in the same time check the "process received SMS/MMS messages" options, the processing never takes place because the routing is done first.
In this scenario when the modem receives the SMS notification for the incoming MMS, this notification is routed to the SMS user (over SMPP) before any processing is done.

So, we'd like to receive plain SMS messages over SMPP, but in the same time the nowSMS gateway should fetch the MMS when the incoming SMS notification arrives.

Is there a way to achieve this functionality?

Thanks,

Problem solved, the solution was described here:
http://www.nowsms.com/support/bulletins/tb-nowsms-003.htm

In short, we created a virtual number for the smpp user and routed all incoming sms messages with redirection from 2-way processing. The sms process command was:
http://127.0.0.1:8800/?PhoneNumber=1234567&Sender=@@SENDER@@&Text=@@FULLSMS@@
(1234567 was our user's virtual number).

Since the MMS processing checkbox was on, the sms notifications were processed and routed via MM7 and normal sms-es were resent to nowSMS and routed to the SMPP user.

Neat trick!
