Dear support, I have been trying to contact you via the contact form on your website over the past 2 weeks but without success... Hope I will be more lucky here I am after an SMS/MMS gateway able to fulfil the following use case for an application we are currently building. It goes like this : (1) User can set preferences for alert delivery on our system; choice : SMS, MMS or WAP PUSH (2) User will be able to send SMS to a given number with keyword about what he/she is interested in : User will send SMS to 8888 (or whatever number given by nowsms) with keyword (3) So when SMS come to 8888 (number given by gateway) it will call our script. (4) Then we can send him/her a response : an SMS or an MMS for example. Can you let me know if this is feasible with nowsms ? And what will be the cost ? Please note that our application is currently at development stage. You can contact me directly on my email. Regards, Mamoudou.

Yes, i know is possible, but the script is not provided by nowsms, you have to do it yourself (or pay somebody to do it for you).

Hi, Keep in mind that NowSMS is a middleware solution. So when you say "User will send SMS to 8888 (or whatever number given by nowsms)" ... it is not NowSMS that gives the number. You do need an SMS service provider (or GSM modem) in order to send/receive SMS messages with NowSMS. I mention this because with a lot of the questions that we receive like yours, people do not realise that NowSMS is not an SMS service provider. Please see http://www.nowsms.com/whatisnowsms.htm for more general information on NowSMS. That said, Dan's response is short and to the point. It's definitely possible. But you're going to have to provide the scripts to interface NowSMS into your application. When NowSMS receives an SMS message, it can trigger an HTTP request to run a script of yours that is running on a web server. Your application can issue HTTP requests to tell NowSMS to send a message (SMS, WAP Push, MMS).
