Hello,
I've to install NowSMS on a Win2003 server. I've all the permissions on this server.
When I clic on the installation file (nowsms.exe) I immediately receive a message in a dialog box Install corrupt.

At first time I thought to a problem on the file burned on the distribution CD with the licence. Then I've dowloaded the evalution copy, vut same problem of "install corrupt".
What can I do ?
Thanks
Pierre

Hi Pierre,

Hmmm ....

I asked one of my colleagues about this, and he indicates that it has been quite some time since he has seen this type of problem. But he has seen it before.

In fact, here's a thread ...

http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/12291.html

In that thread, Bryce suggested the following:

quote:

I haven't seen this error in a long time, but I seem to recall that it is caused by the TEMP or TMP environmental variable pointing to a directory that does not exist. That seems to cause a problem for the installation software that we use.

Go to a command window, and type SET (then press Enter).

Look for the TEMP= and/or TMP= lines in the response that comes back, and make sure that the directories listed there actually exist.

Check to see if that is the problem you are experiencing. Unfortunately, it looks like it didn't resolve the problem in that particular thread.

Other than a rights issue, I'm not sure what else could cause this problem. Perhaps a conflict of some type with a virus scanner?
