Hi Howard, You're best off with a dedicated external GSM modem device. Multitech, Wavecom and iTegno are a few of the brands that we see the most. When it comes to phones ... ironically, older phones are better than newer phones. As the phone manufacturers have added more and more end-user interface functionality to their phones (and more sophisticated SMS client software specificially), it has become more difficult for them to continue to support the GSM modem interface. For example, Nokia phones used to have great GSM modem capabilities ... but then Nokia limited it to send only support in the Series 60 devices ... and then it became send only support for almost all of their phones over the past 18 to 24 months. -bn | |||

I'm now using T39, it is perfect.4sec/SMS Actually, if you have a phone with bluetooth connection, you just need to bluetooth connector in your PC and using the bluetooth driver. Then, bluetooth can detect your mobile (of course, you need to activate your bluetooth in mobile). After handshaking from your computer with mobile, you set the mobile as a COM port. Using Now GSM SMSC to connect this COM port. |
