Hi, what's the message queue size for sms messages going through NowSMS? Also, just through experience, what data rates (SMS/min or sec) have you all seen be able to output through any given modem?
Thanks!
Matt

Hi Matt,

It is the number of messages in the outbound queue, waiting to be sent out.

It's more dependent on the operator (and signal strength) than the modem. In most cases, you'll be in a 5 to 10 message per minute per modem situation.

If a mobile operator supports SMS over the packet network (GPRS/EDGE or 3G packet data), then we've seen rates close to 1 per second. However, our experience has been that many mobile operators do not have this support enabled on their networks (for intentional reasons, to limit this type of sending).

Hiiiii
I am using WAVECOM GPRS MODEM MULTIBAND 900E 1800. When I send single SMS i gets delivered in max 10/12 seconds, but when i sends bulk SMS it takes around 57/59 seconds to deliver single SMS.
May I know what will be the reason?

I have added one asp for accounting. I want to execute it only when Type = SMSOut, so what will be the parameters in SMSGW.ini?

If NowSMS is sending 1 message per minute, then this is usually caused by the installation of a serial number crack.

If you found the NowSMS download on another web site with a patched install that includes a serial number crack, then you may have de-install, and then re-install the proper version from our web site. (From what I have seen, you can also usually remove the crack code from the "Serial #" list, and then restart the NowSMS service, which will put NowSMS back into 60-day trial mode.)

There is no way to have accounting callbacks triggered only for "Type=SMSOut". Your callback just needs to ignore any "Type=" values that it does not want to process.
