Got a request from Eicon, that had noticed the Now SMS/MMS gateway. They were interested in using their Diva Server cards with this software, and claimed that they could send and receive SMS via this card - without any SIM-card - with the right gateway software.... It sounds interesting ... but their web site is less than informative. The PDF simply refers to the protocol for doing this as a "special protocol". I did some searching, but I can't find anything that references application protocols. Basically they're talking about fixed line SMS ... which is offered in Germany and is being trialed in a number of other countries. -bn | |||
