How to send a SMS which is not displayed to the user via the MMi but will be safed on the SIM or the ME.
I tried a SMS class 2; type 0 with a System Simulator and several mobiles but the SMS wasn't stored anywhere...
Any idea?

Are you trying to just send a text message that gets saved to the SIM but doesn't get displayed in the UI?

I don't think you're going to succeed with that. A SIM-specific message is usually a command to the SIM for storing/updating information on it (like preferred networks) or SIM toolkit messages.

This is all outside of my area of expertise, but I believe the ETSI GSM 11.11 and ETSI GSM 03.48 (3GPP TS 03.48) specs might be of some help to you. The first covers SIM file format, and the latter covers SIM toolkit.

Aside from those messages, and maybe the Message Waiting Indicator messages, I can't think of any message types that get stored but not presented to the user.
