Dear, Sometimes I loss half the connection - I can't say it by any other way -, because I can't send reply.. but, at the same time I can receive the SMS.. and I see this error on Date log file ("Unable to login to SMPP server with specified parameters: ERROR: Bind Failed") I read some threads here but i didn't meet any one like my status. 1. Login parameters, I'm sure they are right as operator said. 2. Sometimes -sometimes- my connection losses the ability to reply. 3. When I restart the service (stop and start - manually) no problem happens and back good to work. So, is it a sense-able case? why ("the receiving") doesn't effect by this error, like ("sending")? how can I fix it? if there is a way to restart the service -from my programs-, please let me know.. Thank you so much..

Hi Natheer, There's no much that I can tell you. The provider is rejecting your connection. What is not clear is why. I can tell you that sometimes if a connection drops unexpectedly because of an internet connectivity error, it may take several minutes for the provider to recognise the connection has dropped. And providers typically limit the number of connections allowed, so you won't be able to reconnect until their system recognises the connection has dropped. In that case, there's not much you can do other than wait. But that you restart the service and the problem goes away does not make sense, unless it is just a timing coincidence. (After a failed connection attempt, NowSMS may wait a couple of minutes before attempting again.) You also mention that receiving is ok, but sending is a problem. It may be that your provider wants you to use a single transceiver connection instead of separate sender and receiver connections. The default behaviour for NowSMS is to create 2 connections (one sender and one receiver) for each SMPP connection defined. To use a single transceiver connection instead, it is necessary to go into "Properties" for the SMPP connection in the "SMSC" list. Select "Advanced Settings" and check the option for using a single transceiver connection. Press "Ok", then "Ok" again, and "Apply" to save this configuration change, and try with a transceiver connection instead. -- Des NowSMS Support

Oh ... I forgot the question about restarting NowSMS from your application. The Windows "NET STOP" and "NET START" commands can be used ... NET STOP NOWSMS NET START NOWSMS
