Hi,

I want to try to use Now SMS/MMS Gateway for receiving and sending SMS/MMS, but I am still looking for the "cheapest" MMS/SMS enabled GSM phone which had been tested and works perfectly with Now SMS/MMS Gateway. Could anyone advise me such phone? Thank you.

Keep in mind that for receiving MMS messages with NowSMS, you need to be using a dedicated GSM modem device.

Basically, a limitation of using a phone as a modem is that the MMS client in the mobile phone always intercepts received MMS messages, and does not forward them over the modem interface.

But all other functionality is generally present ... at least the ability to send SMS and MMS. Receiving SMS is not possible on higher end smart phones (like Nokia Series 60 models ... 3650/7650/6600/6620/7610).

There is a thread on modems at the following link:

If you're looking for a phone modem, I'm partial to the SonyEricsson phones. The T68/T68i/T610/T630 line of phones is generally available for a reasonable price ... and they can be used with a USB or serial cable, or via infrared, or via bluetooth, offering a great deal of flexibility.
