I'm sorry, I do not understand what you are asking.

Maybe you can give an example and include the log file so I can better understand what your question is about.

Are you sending the message to yourself? I mean, from the modem back to the modem? That would create a loop if you are auto-replying.

I don't have a complete view of your configuration, so I can only make educated guesses based upon whatever information you provide about your configuration. I'm sorry, I should have asked more questions before jumping to a conclusion.

So your system is not sending these messages. But the system appears to be receiving the same messages again and again? Is that correct?

What modem are you using?

It would appear that the modem is not allowing messages to be deleted after they are read. I have never seen a problem like this before.

Please enable the SMSDEBUG.LOG (there is a checkbox setting on the Serial # page). I would like to see the debug log in order to understand what is happening, and to see if there are any settings that might help this problem, or if it is a defective modem. (Unfortunately, not deleting the messages when processing is not an option, as modems tend to have very limited storage for messages.)

As I stated above, I believe the modem is defective.

I will repeat from what I posted previously:

quote:

Please enable the SMSDEBUG.LOG (there is a checkbox setting on the Serial # page). There is probably not much I can do to resolve this problem.

The SMSDEBUG.LOG will likely confirm to me that the modem is defective. There is a very small chance that it might provide me with some information that can fix the problem.

I would also be curious what modem you are using. I see that it is some sort of Samsung device, but I do not know what model. Perhaps there is a firmware update available for the device which fixes this problem.

Apologies for the delay in response, I did find your e-mail message with attachment. It was sent as a reply to the e-mail address that sends out notifications for this discussion board, which is an e-mail address that is not monitored. The address is only used for automated notifications from this discussion board.

I noticed from your SMSDEBUG.LOG that whenever NowSMS attempts to delete the message from the modem, the modem returns with +CMS ERROR: 321, which means invalid memory index.

However, the memory index NowSMS is attempting to delete is valid.

There's clearly a bug in the modem firmware (the software that runs the modem itself). However, I have an idea of a possible work-around for the this bug. In NowSMS, select the modem from the "SMSC" list and press the "Properties" button. Try changing "SMS Message Storage" to "Device Memory". If the modem firmware bug is what I think it is, this might work-around the problem and we can try to implement a more permanent solution.
