Greetings, i've set 2ways using mobile modem (Samsung star), everything works OK, except: when simcard is full with sms, 2ways stop respond. beside meaning is 2ways does not work if sms filled in phone memory. the beside my question, how about usb modem (not mobile modem) if sms full in simcard? is 2ways still work? i was trying change msg storage to from default,direct-modem,etc... it was not solve the problem. could now sms give us the recomendation about modem is fully support specially 2ways, delivery reports, etc...what perfectly works...many thanks. | |||

Hi, NowSMS deletes messages as it receives them from the modem. At least it sends a command to tell the modem to delete the message. When you're using a mobile phone as a modem, sometimes the phone software gets in the way. I'm not familiar with the Samsung Star, but my guess is that when NowSMS issues the command to delete the received message, the phone software is not actually deleting the message. I'd be curious to see an SMSDEBUG.LOG that shows NowSMS receiving a message from this phone, and trying to delete it. (The SMSDEBUG.LOG is enabled via an option on the "Serial #" page.) It is possible that we might see something that we could try to do differently. However, probability suggests that the phone software simply fails to delete the received messages. You would be better off using a dedicated GSM modem device (e.g. USB stick modem), as these devices don't run any phone software to get in the way.
