Hi,

If I send a message to the gateway from where I am in south africa it can take up to 60 mins to arrive if it arrives at all. If I send from one of my servers in the US or UK to the same url the message is delivered instantly. Any reason this would be happenning?

My url format is:
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8800/?PhoneNumber=+27111111111&Sender=&user=User&password =password&Text=123456

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

I'm sorry, but I don't know enough about your configuration to answer your question.

Where is NowSMS installed? Is there more than one NowSMS server?

What is the outbound SMSC connection from NowSMS?

I'm assuming there is only one NowSMS and you are submitting HTTP requests to it from different locations.

NowSMS doesn't care where you are submitting the message from. It's HTTP ... TCP/IP ... doesn't matter.

Are you sure the issue is where you are submitting from and not differences in the destination number you are sending to?

I have no knowledge of your configuration ... so I don't know.

I would suggest looking at the SMSWEB-yyyymmdd.LOG and SMSOUT-yyyymdd.LOG files to try to track down the messages that you are curious about. SMSWEB will record a timestamp of when NowSMS received the message submission and SMSOUT will record a timestamp of when the message was dispatched to the upstream SMSC connection.
