Dear Support Currently we are using the xml-based query interface to get the number of SMS pending in "Outbound SMS queue". This value shows the total number of SMS pending on the outbound queue at a particular instant. Indeed we will find it more applicable if it can categories the queued SMS according to the pending duration. For examples: - Outbond SMS Quesed : xx - Queued SMS pending for 5 min : aa - Queued SMS pending for 10 min : bb - Queued SMS pending for 15 min : cc - Queued SMS pending for 20 min : dd ... etc. (where xx = aa+bb+cc+dd) Can NowSMS support this kind of statistical data that we can deploy now or in the future release ? Hi Nelson, There is no support for this type of query. Findng ways of providing more detail on message status is a subject of frequent discussion amongst our team. This an interesting way of looking at it. But I'm not sure how valuable it would be. Presumably if there are messages stuck in the queue for an extended period of time, it is because either the connection is saturated and over its limits, or messages are failing with a particular error code and pending retry. We seem to have a significant number of support queries where the outbound queue is growing, but the underlying reason is errors from the provider. We've been trying to determine good ways to report this, but have made little progress. We are certainly open to suggestions. -- Des NowSMS Support |
