hello, I would like to know if we can send an MMS which includes a url link, which when is pressed will open a wap session. Has anybody ever tried this? thanks dimitris | |||

Hi Dimitris, What you are trying to do is very logical. However, to the best of my knowledge, there is no standard for how you would define that you are including a link in the MMS message. However, some MMS clients will automatically scan the text of an MMS message, looking for text that looks like a web site address, and automatically turn it into a link. For example, I just tried this with a SonyEricsson K700i, and it did turn my text into a link that could be clicked on. Unfortunately, you can't rely on this behaviour ... -bn | |||

Zhou, There's no source code involved. I included http://somewebsite in the text of the MMS message, and the K700i automatically turned it into a link. -bn | |||

Zhou, I haven't seen any MMS clients that support HTML markup. It is logical that we might see some in the future, but the approach that I'm talking about here relies on the MMS client seeing "http://" in a "text/plain" part of the message, and turning it into a link. I haven't seen anything more advanced (which is a pity). -bn | |||
