Hi

I was trying to bind in to an SMSC via SMPP. The user name and Password assigned on the SMSC were different and I was unable to get a successful bind. I was getting the error "invalid password". As soon as they changed the System Type to match the Password on the SMSC, I was able to bind in successfully. Does this mean that the system type and password should be the same? It seemed so as it was the only way we could get the service to work.

Regards,
Bryn

Hi Bryn,

There is no logical reason for this, it may be a specific quirk of the SMSC implementation that you are connecting with. I can't say that I've ever heard of anyone else that needed to have this done.
