Can I use the nowSMS in a SUn platform equiped with a C7 card connected to a real switch for demo.

NowSMS runs on a Windows platform only.

For SMS, it is only a gateway, not an SMSC. It needs to talk to one or more SMSCs using any of the following protocols: SMPP, UCP/EMI, CIMD2, HTTP, or GSM modem connection.

For MMS, it can be either an MMSC or an MMS gateway. As an MMSC, it requires an SMSC connection for sending MMS notifications (although notifications can be sent over IP only for lab environments). As an MMS gateway, it can communicate with one or more MMSCs using any of the following protocols: MM7, Ericsson proprietary MM7, MM4, MM3 (SMTP), EAIF, MM1, or MM1 over a GPRS modem.
