How does it work, what does the now sms/mms gateway connect to. Does it connect directly to an operators AS/GGSN ? or does it just conect to the operators mmc/sms-c. How does one go about getting a SLA with the operators to use their network? I would be interested to know what companies/VASPs and opeators are doing this and what services they are providing. | |||

It connects to the operators SMSC using SMPP, UCP/EMI, CIMD2, HTTP, or a GSM modem. NowSMS can be used as an MMSC (requiring an SMSC connection for MMS notification delivery), or it can connect to an operator MMSC using MM7, MM4, MM3 (SMTP), EAIF, MM1, or MM1 over a GPRS modem. | |||
