Is it possible to get the message through HTTP to my PC.(not in binary format).Sending it with a GSM to the ip-adress will probaly not be enough Goal: a socket is listening to incoming HTTP content(= MMMS message) and my application must extract the attachements from the MMS messages. Re-reading the original post, it looks like I didn't answer it that well. I was thinking technical, when the question is not that technical. The link posted might work for you, if you (or only a few people) need to do the posting. If you need to receive MMS messages that were sent by anyone, and without the sender changing the MMS configuration on their phone, then you need a more sophisticated setup. For example with the Now SMS/MMS Gateway, you can receive MMS messages that were sent to a phone that is attached to a PC running the software and perform processing against those messages.

The process of connecting a mobile to a PC depends on the mobile phone. Some phones support serial or USB connections with a special cable. Some phones support infrared or bluetooth connections. Some have no support for this type of connectivity at all. Which COM port is used depends on how you physically connect the device to the PC (and what ports you have available for connections in the case of a physical COM port). Once connected, an extended set of "AT commands" is used to communicate with the modem. These commands are defined by the ETSI GSM 07.05 and 07.07 specifications, which can be downloaded from http://www.etsi.org. Some manufacturers also have their own specifications that you can download from their web sites, which explain which of these commands are implemented in their devices, as well as any additional commands available for that specific device. -bn
