Hello, other Question about the MMSC... Can i create a relais by receiving of the MMS ? I mean : if i would like control which time of the day is it or other parameters ? where can i see the activity of the sending and receiving of mms ? thanks Tony | |||

Tony, I'm not sure that I understand the question. I think I do, but please feel free to clarify. I think you want to receive MMS and send them out later, or maybe modify the messages in some other way and send them out later. It would require some programming effort on your part, but I suppose you could. If you're using a GSM modem, the first thing to note is that phones which support MMS will grab the MMS and won't allow it to be retrieved over the GSM modem interface. So it is best to use either a dedicated GSM modem (like the Wavecom modems), or an older phone that doesn't support MMS or WAP push. The Nokia 7110 seems to work pretty good for this. In the gateway, on the "2-way" page, you need to enable the receiving of both SMS and MMS messages. For receiving SMS messages, we provide options for executing commands based on the content of the SMS, but that's not possible with MMS. With MMS messages, they will be received and stored in the directory that you specify, so you need to have a separate program that is scanning for files in that directory. We'll decode the MMS message into separate message parts so that you can better interpret them, and you can use MMSCOMP to package them back up and then send them back out to the gateway. -bn | |||
