Hi, I set the @7650 mms config to MMSC gateway by GSM dial-up method. When I send a mms message from web menu to my nokia7650, the mobile begin to dial-up and try to get the mms. I wait some time but then nothing happened. The mobile will hang up after 1 minute or 2. But no mms message is got. So I add Debug=Yes line in MMSC.ini. ThreadProcessConnection: Got m-notifyresp-ind I have registered the phone number in MMSC user list. BTW, the nokia7650 will dial up later to get the mms again but it will also fail. As I only send a test mms, it dialed nearly 20 times in a afternoon, so I have to power off it. Who know how to remove the notification sms so that the Nokia7650 will do always dialing? Thanks. | |||

Hi, The phone is indicating that the message is corrupt. Upon further examination ... hmm ... the message is never getting to the phone. The issue is that when the WAP gateway requests the message from the server, the WAP gateway is requesting an absolute URI (http://host.name/absolute_path), whereas we're only expecting the absolute_path. It's been awhile since I've had to look at the HTTP specs. But basically, I think both we are wrong, and the WAP gateway that is being used is wrong. The HTTP 1.1 specs say that all servers must accept the absolute URI, but that HTTP 1.1 clients will only generate an absolute URI when making requests of a proxy server. So technically, we SHOULD accept the request in our MMSC ... but technically the WAP gateway should NOT be generating the request in this fashion. Since we can't fix your WAP gateway, I guess the only solution is to fix the MMSC to accept requests in this fashion. As we've already been corresponding via e-mail since you have the unreleased unicode version, I'm going to e-mail you a ZIP file with an updated MMSC.EXE that will address this problem. -bn | |||
