I am trying to send MMS to my email address at home using the gateway. As far as I can tell I have set up everything correctly, I have the service running on a publicly accessible PC and I am using a no-ip address to point to the PC. The service is running on port 80. I am using my ISP's SMTP server to deliver messages to email.

My problem is that when I attempt to send an MMS from my Orange phone it gets delivered to my mail inbox but the picture has been apparently stripped off. I have tried with two different sizes of picture. I am currently connecting to my gateway using the now office wap gateway over the orangeinternet apn.

Any ideas why my attachments aren't being sent with the rest of the message?

TIA

After another look into this it appears the problem is actually with Outlook since I checked my email on my PDA and the attachment was displayed but when I later downloaded the email on my PC the attachment had vanished!

Is there a particular setting in Outlook I need to change? Or is it possibly being caused by my mcaffee anti-virus software?

Thanks

Simon,

I wish I remembered the answer to this one.

I do know that when people experience this problem, if they select to "Forward" the message, the missing attachment shows up when they are forwarding the message.

Unfortunately, I'm on the road this week, so I don't have access to some of my regular resources.

I can't remember if this is something that is fixed in a service pack for Outlook, or if you have to change a configuration setting for "dangerous file extensions", where for some reason JPGs are being considered dangerous.

I'll try to remember to look this up when I'm back in the office next week.
