I am trying to convert my waves to amr with the converter.exe file in the audiobin directory. Now i am not the soundfreak of the world, so what am i doing wrong. When converting from wave to amr, the amr sound very high pitched. You know like if you take a breath of helium... Can anyone help me on this ?

I'm not much of a sound freak either, but I've never encountered this. I'm wondering if maybe the WAV file is encoded with an unexpected sampling rate. I know we do some prepping of WAV files before feeding them through that converter (you can download that converter itself at various web sites, including www.ericsson.com/mobilityworld), as the converter is pretty picky about WAV files. Have you tried processing it through NowSMS directly? Preferably go through the e-mail to MMS interface which will convert it as it goes through the system? Just wondering if the same effects are seen there. One tip ... Windows Sound Recorder can do some limited format conversions between different WAV file frequencies. -bn
