In attempting to provision Sharp devices I have run into a rather strange problem. I can send a OMA provisioning document to the phone and it receives it and installs the settings. When I try and activate them though it throws an error. "Failed to activate" However if I make a copy of the settings using the phones in built functionality am I able to activate the settings without any problems! I can then use these settings to connect to the web. Has anybody experienced anything like this before or could possibly know of the reason why this may be having. I know the settings are good as they work once they are copied but what could be stopping the phone from activating them 1st time round? Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated. Hey Jon, I came across your post while searching for info on the same problem you had with a Sharp 703. I'm experiencing the same problem (can't activate the new profile but a copy of it will work fine) with a Sharp 703 and a 903. Just wondered if you ever found a solution to the problem.
