Hey,

I have a Motorola V3 that was on T-Mobile line rental, but I got it unlocked & now use a pay as u go O2 sim.

When I try download WAP settings from the O2 website, my phone wont acknowledge the settings & stay stuck on the T-Mobile WAP settings that dont even work.

Is there ANYTHING I can do to get WAP on my phone?

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

if you want settings for o2 you will need to do them manually. A profile for the wap gprs and a similar one for mms if you lucky there maybe o2 contract settings on the phone and you may be able to edit them (just apn and username different). If you are unsure on the settings you can ring customer services on a landline (08705678678) and pick wap/gprs on auto attendant. they will go through step by step with you while your on the phone with them. they will try and send settings first, tell them that you have tried yourself and they are not recieved by your phone

Copied directly from the UK O2 website after I got the settings sent from online. Please note that these settings are for the Motorola V3. I unlocked my phone and reprogrammed the entire system so if this works for me, it will more than likely work for everyone else too.

"When the settings have been received the handset will display the following message '1 New Browser Message'.

1. Press 'READ'.
2. The message 'Browser Update, Update is Required' will be displayed.
3. Press 'UPDATE'.
4. 'Enter Authentication PIN' will be displayed, enter '0000' and press 'Ok'.
5. 'Update Complete' will be displayed and disappear.

Once the setting has been saved, the new profile will need to be set as default, to do this please follow the process below.

1. Press the Menu button.
2. Scroll to 'WebAccess' and press 'SELECT'.
3. Scroll to 'Web Sessions' and press 'SELECT'.
4. Scroll to the appropriate O2 WAP connection and press the 'Menu' button.
5. Scroll to 'Set Default' and press 'SELECT', the message 'Changed Default' will be displayed briefly and then return to the Web Sessions screen.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: OTA Settings will result in a padlock next to the profile.

1. Press the Menu button (button directly above the Navi button).
2. Scroll to 'Web Access' and press the Navi key to select.
3. Highlight 'Web Sessions', and then press the Navi key to select.
4. Highlight 'Connection name' (e.g. O2 GPRS WAP with padlock), press the Navi key and select set as default (right softkey).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The settings have been applied and are ready for use."
