Hi, I have found that in some of the latest mobiles(Nokia, Motorola, Samsung) the connectivity & application access information(Access points,Homepage, proxy address, MMSC) is pre-configured in the mobile for well known service providers(Hutch, Airtel....In India) even though the user not activated his GPRS connection. Does this information is read from the SIM card or it is programmed directly in the mobile phone's NV? I have tried by deleting all those preconfigured settings and restarted the mobile. If those settings are read from the SIM card then the settings must be again read from the SIM card after restarting the mobile. But this is not the case, i lost the settings. Can anyone tell me from where does these pre-configured settings come from....either SIM or NV? Thanks & Regards, Prathi. | |||
