Hi,

I have a requirement to provide a system to deliver a set of calendar entries to mobile devices. Basically its to allow students to store course date entries in their mobile phones.

Initially I was using a wap push with a url of a vCalendar .vcs file. But I have run into the problem that many (all?) Nokia phones seem to only read and store the first VEVENT entry in the file.

So basically I am looking for the best way (or ways, if necessary to support many devices) to deliver multiple calendar entries to the biggest set of devices I can support.

I read the release note here; http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/53/86.htm l
"MMSC: Mapping of iCalendar objects to vCalendar objects when sent from e-mail to a mobile phone that only supports vCalendar."

I was initially thinking I could send an MMS via nowsms, and have it handle the delivery to the handsets based on its understanding of what the devices support. But I would guess that if nowsms thought that the device did not support iCal it would convert it to vCal and only the first entry would be stored on the recipient device.

As an outside chance, are there any MMS/Wap message/sms/ems etc formats that would support a multipart message containing maybe 10 separate vCal attachements, and process them all at once?

Thanks in advance for any advice on this...

Tom
