Hi, I assume you are referring to WAP1/WSP ... and without hard numbers, I would assume the number is extremely low. Some operators seem to have quietly discontinued these services. I would expect no currently marketed devices to fall into this category (except for maybe specialised M2M devices like security cameras). You're basically dealing with older devices, or with devices that support both WAP1/WSP or WAP2/HTTP but were configured with WAP1/WSP. WAP1/WSP mainly has benefits on slower high latency networks. We still see active development occurring with it on TETRA networks. But when you are talking about 3G/4G networks, that protocol really doesn't make sense. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

Basically yes. At least in terms of wireless profiled HTTP. The issue when talking about specifications like this is that a specification may have numerous optional features that are not implemented. |
