How to Setup a WAP Gateway

Hi All,
I am now starting to know WAP but recently I try some wap code using simulators and it works.
My question are:
1. How to see this wap codes using real handphones
and what are the steps?
2. How to setup my own WAP Gateway to put my
wap code and put it into real use?

Could Someone help me?

1.) Every WAP phone has settings that specify how it connects to the WAP proxy (gateway). Typically you configure the GPRS APN (Access Point Name) to which the device connects to receive its GPRS access. And you supply an IP address of a WAP gateway.

To configure a phone to connect to a gateway that you setup, you need to configure the phone to connect to a GPRS APN that allows open internet access, and then configure the IP address of the gateway to which you want to connect.

Of course, the real question would be whether or not you need to do this for your application needs. A WAP gateway is just a specialised proxy server ... it doesn't host WAP content directly (some WAP gateways can host content directly, but they don't have to). WAP content is typically hosted on a standard web server, and the WAP gateway acts as a transparent proxy.

that would take care of the wap part for you. i use it to send and receive mms and have ready java codes to show. please email me for details
