Hi Prashant, We do not have any specific recommendations. The number of different manufacturers and constantly changing model numbers is overwhelming, and market availability varies from country to country. The important thing is that the modem supports AT commands for sending SMS. If binary SMS support is important to you, try to verify that the device supports PDU mode. (Note that lack of PDU mode support is mostly limited to mobile networks that were historically CDMA based, and this is usually more of a network than a modem issue.) USB "stick form factor" modems plugs directly into a USB port and tend to be the cheapest, but the software drivers required by the manufacturer can be a pain, as typically you will have to disable SMS functionality in those apps (via app-specific settings) to stop them from interfering with NowSMS. The other form factor is an industrial modem. Whereas the stick form factor plugs directly into a USB port, industrial modems usually have a separate power supply and connect to the PC with a USB to serial cable. They will also include or offer an antenna connection which improves signal and performance. Regards, Bryce Norwood NowSMS Support P.S. - We recommend USB modems be limited to SMS only. If you are using MMS, Android devices offer far greater performance and reliability for sending and receiving MMS. |
