Hi, I would like to purchase a Nokia phone to be used as the modem for sending SMS and MMS, Could you please recommend what is the preferred phone to purchase (i.e. minimum errors). previously I used the Nokia 6310i but it is hard to find these days any more. Thanks A | |||

Hi Avi, Take a look at http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/4218.html, especially toward the end where it specifically talks about Nokia phones. If you have to use a phone as a modem, I'm partial to SonyEricsson phones these days. But on Nokia phones, for the most part you'll want to avoid Nokia Series 60 phones if you have any need to receive SMS messages, because they don't support that over the GSM modem interface. It is primarily Series 40 devices that can both send and receive over the GSM modem interface. -bn | |||
