Union Telephone v2008.06.03 We have image scaling enabled to scale to the maximum message size a device will except. This works fine, but for the attached MMS it does not work. When I send this message to any phone type it is not scaled down. Therefore, It will not display on phones that it is too large for. On these same phones, I can send other picture that are scaled down. I know they were scaled, because I changed their UAPROF max message size to a very small size, and could see that they were transcoded. Can you see anything wrong with this message that would stop the MMSC from transcoding the picture? Thanks, Joseph Smith

Hi Joseph, I don't have a quick answer for this one. It appears that our image handling routines are having a problem figuring out the size attributes of the image. It's probably going to take about a week to get to the bottom of this. -- Des NowSMS Support | ||||

Hi Joseph, Sorry to take so long for a follow-up. It appears that there is something about that image that the older ImageMagick library cannot handle. I'm not sure what exactly is different about that image, or if this affects only some ... or many ... images from some devices. We need to do some more investigation. However, it does appear that the latest ImageMagick libraries do not have any issues with that particular image. I've uploaded an update to http://www.nowsms.com/download/imagebin.zip. This ZIP file contains only the contents of the IMAGEBIN subdirectory of the NowSMS installation. To install it, you would need to manually extract these files and place them in the IMAGEBIN subdirectory of the NowSMS installation. -- Des NowSMS Support | ||||
