Hi,

I have configured an MMSC VASP account that is being used to send out MMS messages. I have also configured MMSC Rounting account with same account name as that of MMSC VASP.

For VASP account I have selected "Route via MM7" = MMSC Rounting account with same name as VASP account name under "MMSC routing for Received Messages".

I expect delivery reports to be sent to the configured address but instead, I get complete MM7 message back to my servlet.

I did the following workaround and it started working fine:

Selected "Standard MMS Delivery" under "MMSC routing for Received Messages".

Slected my routing acc which has same name as VASP account as "Default Route" under MMSC rounting tab.

Please advise where I am going wrong.

Thanks

Hi,

To answer, I need more details about how the accounts are defined.

I can maybe help you by explaining some of our confusing terminology.

The "MMSC VASP" account defines an interface for submitting or delivering messages into NowSMS.

The "MMSC Routing" account defines an interface for NowSMS to route messages "out" to another application or service.

It gets a little confusing, and we'd like to make it simpler ... but it allows for very flexible and unusual configurations.

I think I understand the problem that you encountered.

This would mean that every message submitted into NowSMS by this account, would be routed out via the selected "MMSC Routing" account.

As your application wants to send messages out, you would use the standard routing.

Why would someone want this other routing? They may be receiving messages via EAIF or MM4 but want them delivered to an MM7 application.
