Hi again, .tmp files insist on appearing in NowSMS folder (about 40 each day, in a 20k mms/day traffic system). They aren't automatically deleted after that, populating NowSMS folder. I'm running v2010.05.24 NowSMS version, but this happens from ages. What can I do? Thank you, Gonzalo | |||||

Hi Gonzalo, Are they directly in the NowSMS directory or in a subdirectory? Are they small files? Do they open as text files ... and if so, what is in them? Maybe you could ZIP or RAR up a collection of them and post them back to me for further investigation. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||||

Hi Des, Thank you for your support. The .tmp files (text files) are in NowSMS subdirectory, and the contents are just sizes of images (ie. 640x480) I guess. I'm uploading two files, one with the listing of .tmp files of NowSMS folder, and a zip file containing several examples. Thank you. Regards, Gonzalo

Thanks Gonzalo. This is going to require further investigation. We understand when these files are being created, but need to determine why they are not being automatically deleted. (They should be created in a "TEMP" directory within the NowSMS directory structure instead of with "TEMP" as the filename prefix. Whether or not that is the cause of the files not being deleted is unclear.) For now, there is definitely no problem deleting these files manually. Hi Gonzalo, We've posted an update at http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsms20100628.zip. This update corrects where these temporary files are created, so that they are created in a "TEMP" subdirectory. There may still be some that are not quickly deleted, but they will be automatically deleted within 24 hours. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||||
