Hi,

We are going to add more servers to existing MMSC. We are doing everithing regarding documents http://www.nowsms.com/migrating-to-a-multiple-server-mmsc-wap-gateway-or-nowsms- gateway and http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsms-ft.pdf, but anyway I got few problems (let's say missunderstanding).

1. Our first MMSC is connected to SMSC via SMPP. When I started nowsms on second server (we use SHAREDVOLUME.INI on all servers), I got error message on second server that can't connect to SMPP, becouse it's already connected. Do i need to add another SMPP connection for second server? BTW second server can sens SMS.

2. We have a lot of MM4 connections on first server. As I notice during tests when I need to send MMS from second server via MM4 connection (which is on first server), I can't send it. Do I need to set MM4 connections for all servers?

We are using NowSMS v2009.07.04.

Thanks in advance,

Misha

Hi Misha,

1. Yes, whatever external SMSC or MMSC (MM4) connections you have, the servers on the other end need to be prepared to accept connections from both servers simultaneously.

2. There is an issue in the version that you are running in that external MMSC Routings are only processed on one server. I would recommend updating to the release mentioned in the following post, as it does address this issue so that multiple servers process the routes simultaneously: http://www.nowsms.com/nowsms-update-2011-03-21
