HI ,
Orange want to remove the Wap GTW that was used initially for doing header enrichment.
The header enrichment is done now by the GGSN.
Nevertheless as the subscriber has got an APN configured for MMS and this APN has got the APN name but also the proxy (192.168.x.x port 8080 )

i check on the "Operator MMSC without a WAP Gateway (ICAP)" but it doen't inform if the MMSC can manage the proxy flow. initially TCP/8080 request was sent to wap gtw, then the wap gtw , add the enrich content ( msisdn , etc.. ) , then forward it to mmsc on TCP/80.

is it possible to send TCP/8080 ( proxy request ) directly on MMSC ? or we have to change the setup from all the subscriber to remove the proxy configured on the MMS APN?

don't hesitate to contact me if it is not clear ,

Hi Marc,

That is OK if the GGSN provides HTTP header enhancement.

It is also OK for the MMSC to accept connections formatted for a proxy (as long as the MMS server URL is not using https)
