Hi there. I’d like to set up a text messaging application in the U.S. where I can receive text messages on my server via a phone #. For example: • I advertise: send a text message to 800-555-5555 to sign up • User sends a text message to the above number • The user’s text message is received/processed by my server side application I’ve heard that this can be accomplished via a Nokia phone and some kind of serial connection to my server. However, I’m wondering how it’s done on a large scale – like by TV shows like American Idol. Is it through a particular configuration in partnership with the wireless carrier - or is there an easier way? Thanks, Ben | |||

hi Ben, check www.ozekisms.com (http sms gateway) /www.ozeki.hu (sms server)for the details, they have a pretty good solution for your problem. we are using the products already and very satisfied with the results. regards, dumbo | |||
