when ever i receive sms is it possible to get the country code from where the sms was sent | |||

Do you mean the sender's country code (pretty easy - just look at the first two/three digits of the number!)... If you mean the SMSC that was used to send the message - then you need to look a little bit more indepth.... older Nokia's allowed you to look at 'Message Details' and under there you could see the Service Center Address (SMSC) of where it was sent... newer models don't support this though - I dont know why they removed it - it was very handy for tracing spammers...etc. I'm not sure about other handset makes - I know the Ericsson Px00's don't display this either -- Craig craig@capitext.com http://www.capitext.com |
