Hello Des, We got below email from our one of our Mobile Operators' VAS Team: " For MT billing account, all the MT sms must be sent in single data_sm. you can't use SAR or UDH to send long MT sms. You need to put all the content (short or long) in single data_sm. -if your application can't support data_sm, you can use submit_sm but the text must be set in msg_payload parameter (optional SMPP parameter). Hi Salim, This behaviour is enabled by checking "Use WDP Adaptation for WAP Push and MMS Notifications (required for CDMA)" under advanced settings for the SMPP connection in NowSMS. While the setting name does not seem to be related, this setting has a side effect of sending longer messages as a single message using msg_payload. (submit_sm will be used unless the actual data is WAP Push, in which case data_sm will be used.) -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

Hello Des, We did some try on the latest version trial as you recommended, but problem not been solved and we experienced the same what we experienced with older version. Please advise if a Patch could solve this issue because placing renewal order of our license, depend upon on the assurance that our problem will be solved.. Regards, Salim | |||

Hello Des, Similar to what I said in another thread, We are facing the same issue but after setting same WDP, still message is going as SAR 1-5-1 etc.. something operator doesnt want us to. They want us to subit as Data_sm single SMS regardless the lenght or Submit_sm with msg_payloader.. Please help as always Salim | |||

Hi Salim, NowSMS still segments the message when it is submitted, as shown by multiple SAR message IDs, however when an SMPP connection uses these settings, the message is reassembled and submitted as a single message using message_payload. The fact that the message has been reassembled is not obvious from the log files (except that the date/time stamp for transmission of all segments is the same). -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
