when i send an mms the recipient recieves the full original mms along with a blank mms with the same subject in same thread from the sender's number. when you look at the blank mms it requires you to download it then it dissapears. the message then says: unknwn address: message not found now there is another thread started for messages from the "unknown address" with a text saying "message not found. the origianl mms text is still in the appropriate thread. | |||

Hi jay jay, I don't know enough about your configuration, but it sounds like you have NowSMS configured ... at least partially ... to act as a "direct delivery" MMSC. The "message not found" indications sound like an MMS notification that the phone cannot resolve. However, I cannot think of any way that *both* the real message, and this "message not found" would be generated. It would be one or the other. I obviously need to know more about your configuration to be able to provide an answer. For example, what are the SMSC and MMSC connections? How are you submitting the messages to NowSMS? (Does it also happen when you use the built-in web form?) Does the SMSOUT-yyyymmdd.LOG show binary messages being sent out? I'm assuming that you are sending messages out via a modem. On the "MMSC Routing" page, is there a route defined for the modem, and is it set as the "Default Route"? Also, is the "MMSC Users" list empty? For most configurations it should be. Adding phone numbers here can cause attempts at this "direct delivery" mode. -- Des NowSMS Support |
